Cannabis has always been a subject of debate, all sorts of debate! The entire world is divided into three sections, the one that’s totally against anything that says cannabis, the second is filled with the junkies who can join the line to anything that’s cannabis without knowing the cause, and the last but the intelligent clan who has the ability to think objectively. But there are a very few who follow cannabis news and listen to cannabis talks hosted by the peers to actually understand the world of cannabis. And I am one of those few people!
I was recently listening to CBD live stories on a talk show named C-life Radio and I was introduced to a concept which I thought was well thought through and something America needs badly- ‘Cannabis For Guns’. The hosts invited George Martorano to talk all about it. George Martorano is an activist associated with Cannabis for Guns association and is the longest imprisoned non-violent offender in the federal prison system. What Is ‘Cannabis For Guns’? Cannabis for Guns is an organization that advocates the exchange of guns for cannabis. George Martorano is one of the biggest believers in non-violence and is disturbed by all the gun usage in the country. With Cannabis for Guns, he is promoting a movement when the individuals can turn over their legal weapons to the law enforcement groups and in return, they get a ticket that allows them to have a small amount of cannabis in possession. George Martorano spent three decades in the prison and during his non-violent tenure there, he graduated 8000 prisoners and tried to enhance their standard of living by teaching Yoga, creative writing, business skills, etc. He talked about how guns have depreciated the safety of the citizens and the need for this movement has intensified after the Florida school shooting incident. The talk was quite simple and passionate and George also threw some light on the Cannabis for Guns program saying it would also distribute educational material to enlighten people, especially the youth. What do you think about it? Would you prefer to have legal cannabis in your hands or a gun? I would definitely go for the former! I really think these shows are helping me stay up-to-date with the entire cannabis world. If you are willing for the same, follow some great talk shows like c-life radio and other cannabis-growing podcasts if you are in the industrial sector of cannabis.
